Version 4.1 Release Notes

This major update contains the following new features and fixes:

If you are upgrading from V3.x, please read the V4.0 release notes before proceeding.

1. Administration

1. Restored the user level cost centre restrictions that were removed in V4.0. Check the "Restrict..." box on the Group Cost Centre tab then add the cost centres to the User Cost Centre tab. User restrictions override any group level restrictions. If only one cost centre is allowed, it will be charged automatically without the client popup occurring unless the "Confirm all jobs" option is also enabled for the group.

2. Printing

1. Added support for A0 and A1 paper sizes on large format printers using EMF spooling.

3. Internet

1. Added support for W3C text logs in ISA 2004 and 2006.

2. Fixed a condition where users could appear to be sometimes randomly removed from a Windows group. To monitor the group updates, there is a log file in the Gaia folder called GroupUpdate.log that logs all updates to AD groups.

4. Windows Client

   1. Added tab to display printer costs.

   2. Added tab to display allowed cost centres.

5. Web Client

   1. Fixed an issue with vouchers where including the currency sign could cause the balance not to be adjusted.

6. Installation

   1. This release updates any version 3 or later product. If you are running V2.x you must upgrade to V3.x first before installing V4.x

   2. Stop all Gaia services and programs before upgrading. If you use the web client or web administration, restart IIS before upgrading to unlock all web modules.

   3. The V3 database will be automatically updated when you first run Administration.

Version 4.1.1 Update released 12-Nov-2007

1. Fixed an issue with the web client where vouchers were allocated but did not update the user balance.

2. Fixed an issue with the web client where the net balance might always display as volume even when currency was set.

3. Allowed for negative net balance when displaying as volume in the clients.

4. Fixed some help file links.

Version 4.1.2 Update released 3-Dec-2007

1. Fixed an issue where net users could all be assigned to the default group.

2. Improved handling of all combinations of user names that can be logged by ISA.

3. Improved Postscript colour detection for Mac OSX 10.x clients.

4. Changed Administration to allow user statistics to be cleared more easily.

5. Fixed Top Print Users report that was including failed print jobs.

Version 4.1.3 Update released 10-Dec-2007

1. Fixed recharge vouchers in the windows and web clients where under some circumstances users could allocate a value different to the voucher value.

Version 4.1.4 Update released 14-Dec-2007

1. Fixed print charging where users with zero balances were denied printing even when charges were set to add to balances.

2. Minor improvements to the help file.

Version 4.1.5 Update released 21-Dec-2007

1. Fixed charging and displaying of W3C format proxy text logs.

2. Fixed colour detection when a printer defaults are set to monochrome.
